Ingredients
1 CupSalted Butter, softened to room temperature
¾CupBrown Sugar of Choice, packed
½CupGranulated Sugar
2Large Eggs + 1 Large Egg Yolk
1 TablespoonPure Vanilla Extract
1TeaspoonBaking Soda
1TeaspoonBaking Powder
1TeaspoonSalt
2 ¾CupsAll Purpose Flour
2CupsChocolate Chips of Choice
2Cups Milk Chocolate M&M’s
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs + egg yolk, and vanilla, mixing well. Mix in the baking soda, baking powder, salt until well combined.
Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and M&M candies until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Use a 3 tablespoon cookie scoop to portion out dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Chill the dough balls in the refrigerator while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once the oven is preheated, remove the chilled dough balls from the refrigerator and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 20 cookies. Enjoy these delicious M&M chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite hot beverage!
