Fill a medium sized pan with water, and place it on the stovetop on low/simmer. I place this on a back burner to keep it out the reach of little hands and allow it to simmer for hours. Roughly speaking, here are the measurements I use, though you can always add more or less to your liking: two lemons (sliced), a tablespoon of cloves, four to five springs of rosemary, one to two cups of cranberries, and four to five cinnamon sticks.
Add all of your ingredients to the pot, and leave for as many hours as you'd like, checking periodically to see if you need to add more water. Alternatively, you can add all items to a crockpot on high and let it simmer with or without the lid (if you leave the lid off, check for water levels every so often). Also, be sure to keep this out of the hands of children, and turn off burners before leaving the house (safety first).
