Ingredients
1 ½ cups water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 ⅓ fresh squeezed lemon juice
4 cups cold water
Instructions
Juice lemons, set aside.
In a small saucepan, combine 1 ½ cups water plus granulated sugar. On medium heat, allow mixture to dissolve into a simple syrup. This process should be fairly quick, about 3-5 minutes. Stir occasionally, and remove from heat as soon as sugar is completely dissolved.
Gently pour simple syrup into a glass pitcher. Add lemon juice and 4 cups cold water.
Mix and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes, or until sufficiently chilled. Serve over ice with a lemon wedge if desired. Store in the fridge for up to a week. Enjoy!
