I know what you’re thinking: “Vegan? From the get go? Not just some great subs inserted into a fully dairy-laden dessert? That’s not normally your jam, Heather. I mean, you practically bleed butter.” (This really is not totally false… 🧈). But I’ll tell you what, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TELL that this Vegan Chocolate Chip No Churn Ice Cream is, in fact, vegan. Fully dairy-free and made with all plant-based ingredients in leu of dairy ones, it boasts an incredibly creamy and rich texture, deep chocolate flavor, and it comes together in just five minutes. Freeze it for a few hours, or overnight, and your treat is ready to go. Your kids / family / significant other / friends will be none-the-wiser than they are consuming a healthier ice cream alternative… that is… if you choose to share. 😉

    Vegan No Churn Ice Cream

What you will need to make this Vegan Chocolate Chip No Churn Ice Cream:

Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk (I grabbed this brand from my local walmart)

Dairy Free Half and Half Alternative (I used Silk brand)

Dairy Free Heavy Whipping Cream Alternative (Silk brand used here as well)

Dutch Processed Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (I love this Ghirardelli one)

    Pure Vanilla Extract

Dairy Free Dark Chocolate Chips (Enjoy Life has some amazing one)

    That Coconut Flavor

I will say, this has a distinct yet mild coconut flavor due to the sweetened condensed coconut milk. There are no-churn ice cream recipes floating out there that use eggs instead of sweetened condensed milk. The downsizes are A, this now needs to be cooked, and B, although still dairy free, it is no longer vegan with the use of eggs.

A plant-based alternatives for all of my no-churn ice creams

As far as ingredients and measurements, this is the same base recipe that I use for my other no-churn ice creams. I also have many more on the docket to come! This plant-based version fully replaces the dairy ingredients for any other no churn ice cream recipe of mine that you choose to make! It is identical in texture, super close in flavor, and takes zero extra time. I love it when a (vegan ice-cream) plan comes together.
