Ok, so it’s smack dab in the middle of winter, and ice cream may not be everyone’s go to dessert like in the summertime, but I have it on good authority that many of you LOVE your ice cream year around! And what’s better than homemade ice cream with only a handful of better-than-what’s-in-the-storebought-cartons ingredients? That’s right. This cookies and cream no churn ice cream is five ingredients, it comes together in about five minutes, and freezes overnight to give you the creamiest, dreamiest ice cream the next day (breakfast ice cream, anyone?).

Why This Cookies and Cream No Churn Ice Cream is Better

Now there are oodles of no-churn ice creams floating around the internet. I love this version of cookies and cream no church ice cream because it’s slightly less intense with half and half taking the place of ½ cup of the heavy cream. The consistency remains the same, but it’s a bit lighter overall. I dare say even the flavor isn’t affected. And vanilla makes the perfect base for pretty much any flavor combination you can dream up. I have a No Churn Caramel Toffee Ice Cream as well, and that is coming this weekend!

What you’ll need to make this cookies and cream no churn ice cream:

    Heavy Cream

    Half and Half

Sweetened Condensed Milk (I prefer Eagle Brand)

    Pure Vanilla Extract

Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, crushed (such as Oreos)

You’ll measure the heavy cream PRIOR to whipping it. This is an important detail because whipping it first would skew the final measurements and the ice cream wouldn’t come out the same. So 1 ½ cups of heavy cream is whipped to stiff peaks, and then set aside. In another bowl, you’ll combine the sweetened condensed milk, the half and half, and the pure vanilla extract. Whisk well, and then add this to the whipped cream. You’ll want to start by folding the mixture together, and then whisking it briefly at the end to ensure that it is smooth and lump-free. You will then fold the crushed cookies into the ice cream, and pour the contents into a freezer safe ice cream dish/ container. This reusable ice cream storage container is very similar to one I have and it’s ideal for use again and again!

Tag me if you make it, and enjoy this cold treat by the fire in the middle of winter! 😉 -> #HHBBAKES
