Caramel and Toffee. A close match made in culinary heaven…. or made in your very own kitchen, as this Salted Caramel Chocolate Toffee Bark is one of the quickest and easiest, not to mention most delicious treats you can whip up in barely any time flat!

Now I make my own caramel.

    pouring caramel

I know. It can be intimidating if you have never done it before. But I have a wonderful recipe for Homemade Caramel that not only comes together in ten minutes, but is lightyears better than any store bought brand you can find. Scouts honor. I pretty much promise that if you follow my step by step instructions on that post, your caramel will come out sweet and smooth and buttery every single time. And bonus: you can make a double batch to keep in the fridge and dip, dunk, drizzle, or coat anything in. That sounds exceptionally dreamy.

Onto this bark! It’s so good, people. Like crazy good, and it is the perfect mix of sweet plus a little salt. You can use whatever variety of chips you have on hand, but I love the semi-sweet ones in this recipe. It compliments the caramel perfectly, and the sprinkling of toffee bits is the perfect finishing touch for this Salted Caramel Chocolate Toffee Bark.

What you’ll need for this Salted Caramel Chocolate Toffee Bark:

Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (or milk, dark, or a combo if you’ve got a few half bags lying around… )

Caramel Sauce (homemade or store bought. If you choose store bought, my recommendation is Trader Joes Caramel Sauce as it has fewer ingredients and tastes closer to homemade than any other brand that I have tried)

Crushed Toffee (I use Heath Milk Chocolate English Toffee Bits, but any crushed toffee with do, even homemade!)

You can make this recipe dairy free or even vegan by subbing in non-dairy chocolate chips, caramel, and toffee. I recommend Enjoy Life for the chocolate chips, Nature’s Charm for the caramel sauce (or make your own vegan sauce! Nora Cooks has a great 3 ingredient recipe for vegan caramel here), and Higbee’s for the toffee.

This how-to couldn’t be simpler: melt, spread, cool, break.

Oh and eat. Can’t forget the very best part.
